Hawaiian Cordage from Hau
Come learn how to gather hau, clean it at Puhi Bay, and weave with it. Please wear long sleeve shirt, pants, gloves, shoes and hat. Bring extra clothes to change into after. Canoe Plants of Ancient Hawaii
Come join us on this interactive, hands-on journey back to ancient Polynesia as we learn about plants brought to Hawaii by the early Polynesian navigators and settlers. We will take a little extra time focusing on Niu, learning how to weave canoe paddles with niu leaves and little fishes for the younger ones! Keiki are welcome.

Come explore the beautiful ahupua`a of Waipa and malama stream. Help us reforest our stream restoration site with native plants. Bring a water bottle, appropriate footwear (shoes, boots, or tabis), towel, snacks, sunscreen, gloves, insect repellent, good energy and a smile! Keiki are welcome and lunch will be provided.
