HELP for Child Care Program

Mahalo for your interest in the Hawaii Early Learning Partnership (HELP) for Child Care Tuition Assistance Program.

This program is designed to help qualified parents with monthly financial aid for child care costs for keiki ages 6 weeks to 12 years. Child care includes relative care in the child’s home environment, infant / toddler care, group child care, pre-school, and before and after school care.

The HELP Program is focused on serving Native Hawaiian, Native American Indian, and Alaska Native families who are working or attending school or in job training.

However, due to the HELP Program’s current high level of childcare subsidy expenditures and our ongoing efforts to sustain our services for active participating families, we are only accepting pre-applications for families that meet the following criteria:

  1. Keiki is Native Hawaiian
  2. Keiki are between the ages of 3 years to 4 years.
  3. Keiki will be watched by a license-exempt provider (in the care of a family member, etc at the keiki’s home)
  4. Parent/Guardian is working or in school full time.

If you meet the above criteria, we encourage you to apply. The Pre-Application is an eligibility screen and is the first step in our enrollment process.  Upon completion of the Pre-Application, if you meet eligibility requirements, we will email you the full application.  If you don’t meet these above criteria, please be patient, we will update this site once our enrollment is open again.

If you have any questions about the HELP for Child Care Program, please email help@koka.org.
